Today is the 4th of July and also the 100year anniversary of the National Parks. What better way to celebrate than being in a national park?!! Well, I rode through one (Teddy Roosevelt National Grasslands) and landed in this "pioneer town" which was having a parade and long story short, I rode in the parade! Best news of the day out of Montana and, TAILWINDS!!!!!!
This is one amazing trip you are on. Have you posted pictures/details on your bike and what you packed? What did you take with you for such a trek? Can you name one thing you wish you had and one that you probably didn't need?
ReplyDeleteGood questions and have not cause didn't think about it! Will do next down day. 1 thing wish had: sea to summit thermal sleeping bag liner. Have it but don't need it:extra lights for bike and a head lamp/battery. Luxury item don't need but worth its weight: simple soft stadium/canoe chair. Doubles as an extra sleeping pad so it got to come.
DeleteOne thing I bet you DIDN'T pack was your saloon girl get-up :)
ReplyDeleteI lent it to you and am awaiting return!
DeleteThat's so cool you were in a fourth of July parade!
ReplyDeleteTotally by chance, went into a bike shop and they were on way to parade and asked me to come. On this trip I don't say no often and just go with flow. Turns out saw 3 other cyclist watching parade and invited them to crash my campsite so they did and we all had our own little 4th together:)
DeleteWhat a great 4th!
