Today I had every intention to ride 100 miles and crash at the next house. I will have to say that 20 mile an hour headwinds on top of 80-degree heat add to that some nasty blisters in unmentionable spots and you end up at a hotel 66 miles into your ride. Sometimes it's okay go a little easier so you can ride the next day. Met up with an interesting couple that have been on the road for five months with their dog riding everywhere. We traded chamois cream 4 a Solar Tent light. Here's hoping that helps tomorrow's ride!! It's raining back home I can definitely tell you it's not raining here :-) Picture of the day comes from last night's host in Bowling Green Ohio, some really amazing folks. T
his guy is a cyclist and made this!
Wow! Awesome pic. 😃
ReplyDeleteCut it off a bit apparently! I just had a thought of getting Jane a map to follow along on trip where uncle heather is :)

ReplyDeleteHi Heather, the wind is a harsh mistress indeed. I was just in Washoe Valley, NV where is was windy with 50 mph gusts. I'm so excited for your trip. You are impressive.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awful! Can't wait to see you folks on your coast soon :)
